Half-Scale McLaren Formula One Car Display Model (MP4/4 Style)
This 1:2 scale model is finished in the style of a McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car and features Pirelli-branded tires, a cockpit halo, side mirrors, Honda logos, carbon fiber suspension components, aerodynamic flooring, a faux top-mounted camera, air ducts, a black seat, and underside mounting points.
This 1:2 scale replica is finished in the white and red Marlboro livery used by the McLaren F1 team in the 1980s and 1990s, notably on Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna’s MP4/4s. Additional details include a multi-plane front wing, sculpted side pods, a bi-plane rear wing, a cockpit halo, dual side mirrors, intakes and vents, and a faux camera unit atop the central engine-air intake.
The fiberglass and carbon-fiber bodywork was built to resemble the current generation of F1 cars introduced in 2022, which included larger diameter wheels and marked notable changes to the front and rear wings.
Black-finished flat-face-style wheels are wrapped in rubber tires decorated to resemble Pirelli P Zero racing slicks with hard-compound white markings. Carbon fiber suspension arms and matte black brake ducts also feature.
The cockpit includes a molded seat and a faux multifunction steering wheel. The model weighs approximately 66 pounds and measures roughly 37 inches wide and 90 inches long. Mounting points are fitted to the underside, which consists of a removable section of wood, to enable the car to be fastened securely inside the shipping crate.
