2008 BMW M5

Listing Details:

This 2008 BMW M5 is powered by an ESS-supercharged 5.0-liter V10, and it has been further modified with carbon-fiber exterior components in addition to a lowered ride height, aftermarket headlights, 20″ DPE wheels, an Active Autowerke exhaust system, an aftermarket steering wheel, a Snow Performance methanol-injection kit, a dash-mounted gauge, a radar detector, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Finished in Interlagos Blue over Silverstone leather upholstery, the car has a seven-speed SMG sequential transmission, an M Variable differential, a glass sunroof, Park Distance Control, a head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. The current owner acquired the car in 2021, and work in April 2021 included replacing the rod bearings, ignition coils, and spark plugs. This E60 M5 has 74k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with the owner’s manual, partial service records, a Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the current owner’s name.

The M5 features flared fenders and rocker panels as well as revised bumper covers, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets when compared to the standard E60. This example is finished in Interlagos Blue and has been fitted with aftermarket headlights, ESS badging, and a carbon-fiber hood, rear diffuser, rear spats, kidney grilles, side skirt extensions, and front-fender and side mirror accents. Additional details include a glass sunroof, a decklid spoiler, and front and rear parking sensors. A November 2012 entry of the Carfax report lists an accident, and the seller states the front bumper cover was refinished as a result. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery, and paint protection film is said to have been applied to the roof panel.

The DPE multi-piece wheels feature blue centers with polished lips and are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), M Dynamic Mode, and a lowered ride height. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs. Tire tread-depth readings are presented in the gallery.

The heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats feature active bolsters and are trimmed in Silverstone leather, while aluminum trim accents the cabin. M5-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include a head-up display, heated rear seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a radar detector, and a dash-mounted gauge. An indentation is located on the center console trim.

The carbon-fiber- and leather-trimmed steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 74k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The ESS-supercharged 5.0-liter S85 V10 features a semi-dry-sump lubrication system, individual throttle bodies, double-VANOS variable valve timing, and a Snow Performance methanol-injection kit. Replacement rod bearings, spark plugs, and ignition coils were installed in 2021.

Dynamometer results list a peak output of 583 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SMG single-clutch sequential transmission and an M Variable differential. an Active Autowerke exhaust system has been fitted, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage and lists at least one open recall.
