This 2011 Porsche 911 997.2 GT3 RS is one of 541 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run. It is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Carrara White with red graphics over black leather and Alcantara. The Sport Chrono Package and Sound Package Plus were equipped from the factory along with a limited-slip differential, a front-axle lift system, red 19″ center-locking wheels, carbon-fiber interior trim, and PCM 3.0 with extended navigation. The current owner acquired the car in 2016 and has since added approximately 2k of the 15k miles. This 997.2 GT3 RS is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean New Jersey title.
The track-focused RS model features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels when compared to the standard 997 GT3. This example is finished in Carrara White with red graphics and features bi-xenon headlights with washers as well as clear taillights and dual center-exit exhaust outlets.
The red 19″ center-locking wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 245/35 up front 325/30 out back. The car rides on adjustable coilovers and is equipped with a front-axle lift system as well as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over drilled rotors.
The carbon-fiber-backed sport seats are upholstered in black leather along with Alcantara, which extends to the steering wheel, shifter, dash, headliner, and door panels. The seats are accompanied by Guards Red seatbelts, and the dash, center console, and door sills wear carbon-fiber trim. Further equipment includes the Sound Package Plus, PCM 3.0 with extended navigation, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
The steering wheel features a yellow centering stripe and frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline flanked by a 225-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 15k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed at Jack Daniels Porsche of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, in July 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida, Quebec, Ohio, and New Jersey.
